Kantore
This is a simple typing game that will try to help you learn how to read Japanese!
The are levels for learning hiragana, katakana and kanji (all jouyou, jinmeiyou and selected non-standard kanji). There's also a story mode (in progress, the first 2 chapters are already in), and arcade mode for testing your skills!
Controls:
Menu navigation - Arrow keys / Mouse
Confirm - Enter key / Mouse click
Go back - Shift key
Open settings - Tab key
If you want to open the game in its own separate browser tab (so you can freely adjust the game's window size or to make it look better on mobile) you can also play it here https://kantore.netlify.app/
Just be aware that due to the way web browsers work save data might not be shared between the version here and the standalone one.
If you like this game (or even if you don't) I would love to see your feedback in the comments so I can improve it

I really lost all my memory when studying Japanese...
It felt rewarding hearing those sound effects and getting XP. I could see this becoming pretty popular for people trying to learn Japanese.
Thanks for playing and leaving the comment!
I was trying to make answering questions feel as rewarding as possible so it's great to hear that it worked. :)
